Capital Area Workforce Development Board (CAWDB) consists of four regularly convening committees that support the strategic goals of the organization. These committees meet in the off month of the Board meetings. Specific responsibilities of each committee are outlined below.
Executive Committee
Responsible for the development and review of the CAWDB strategic plan, serves as a liaison with National and NC Association of Workforce Boards and elected officials, and analyzes and makes recommendations on state and national legislation.

Business Alliance Committee
Responsible for understanding Capital Area’s talent pool and the needs of business owners. The committee makes project recommendations that further the Board’s mission to engage business owners and professionals to positively impact the workforce development system.

One-Stop System Committee
Responsible for the oversight of the One-Stop Career Center System.

Youth Council
Responsible for youth related programs and services by promoting and participating in activities that connect youth to employment and training opportunities.
