Assisting area businesses in developing and maintaining a quality workforce is a top priority of the Capital Area Workforce Development Board. Each JobLink Career Center in Wake and Johnston Counties has a Business Services Liaison, whose job is to work with area businesses and, if applicable, to provide assistance to help businesses meet their employment, training and staffing goals.

Listed below are services available for businesses:

Job Posting and Recruiting - Post available positions, interview on or off-site, access to job seekers who want to work now.

Focused Industry Training - Targeted training or re-training based on the current or changing job descriptions of your business.

Rapid Response - Downsizing and company closure employee assistance.

Labor and Industry Trends - Information on work availability, employment trends, wage rates and industry projections.

Skills Testing - Identify gaps between student skills and employer needs; test to improve skill levels and strengthen communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills; be provided with evidence of attained skills.

Incumbent Workforce Development Program - The program provides assistance to employers confronted with the need for new and upgraded worker skills that are necessary to maintain or increase their competitiveness in the global economy.
