CAWDB opened two new JobLink Access Points in January 2011 at Wake County Libraries: One at Cameron Village Regional Library and one at Southeast Regional Library. Access Points are mini-satellite JobLink Career Centers located in community based organizations, developed to connect job seekers to the JobLink system without them having to venture far. Each location is assisted by a trained volunteer, services include:
- Access to career and labor market information
- Online job search assistance
- Resume preparation
- Use of employment resources
The ‘Access Point’ Initiative is a result of a partnership between CAWDB, the US Department of Labor, the US Division of Employment and Training, the Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships and the NC Division of Workforce Development.
