Labor market sees improvement

The labor market appears to be moving in a more positive direction for both Wake and Johnston County, with unemployment rates seeing an overall decline in 2010. According to the Employment Security Commission of North Carolina (NCESC), Wake County’s unemployment rate fell from 9.2% in January to 7.5% by December and Johnston County’s fell from 10.9% in January to 8.8% by December. Two new Access Points

CAWDB opened two new JobLink Access Points in January 2011 at Wake County Libraries: One at Cameron Village Regional Library and one at Southeast Regional Library.
